Kensington Palace

For over 300 years Kensington Palace has been home to Britain’s young royal families and now the official London residence of TRH The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children.

Share the experience of this public palace and private home and walk in the footsteps of Georgian royals as you make your way through the magnificent King’s Apartments. Experience stunning state rooms where monarchs received courtiers, ministers and foreign ambassadors. The childhood home of Queen Victoria, you can discover the staircase where she first met Prince Albert and visit the Red Saloon room where her first Privy Council meeting was held at just 18 years of age.

In contrast to the glitz and glamour inside the opulent palace take time to stroll through the beautiful Palace gardens. The Sunken Garden first constructed in 1908 is terraced with areas of lawn, paving and ornamental flower beds, surrounding a central ornamental pond. In 2017 and in memory of Princess Diana, who was particularly fond of the Sunken Garden, the space was transformed into The White Garden, with a statue of the Princess and flowers in white and soft pastel colours.
