A Grade II listed property and nestled in the rolling Cheshire Countryside, Alvaston Hall is a Victorian Mansion that became the epicentre of Cheshire society towards the end of the nineteenth century. Set within award winning gardens, state of the art wellness facilities and a pick of restaurants and lounges it’s the perfect setting to switch off and unwind.
This break will feature RE-MIXED – Featuring Sabatino & Sutcliffe presenting From the Heart with songs ranging from the Greatest Showman, Snow Patrol, John Farnham and Queen and you’re invited on a full night of magical song and story.
INCLUSIONS
Day 1: We will make our way to Cheshire and our hotel arriving in time to freshen up before dinner.
Day 2: Today we visit medieval Chester; Chester is arguably the richest city in Britain for archaeological and architectural treasures preserved to this day from the time of the Roman occupation. Walk the walls, admire the cathedral, visit the Roman amphitheatre, view Eastgate with its clock that marks the entrance to the Roman Fortress or learn about the British Army at the Military Museum. Chester is also famous for its shopping 'Rows' which boasts excellent shops, boutiques and restaurants, or perhaps you'd rather explore the city a different way with a cruise along the stunning River Dee. There is so much to see and do in this fascinating city!
Day 3: After breakfast our excursion will take us into neighbouring Shropshire to visit Shrewsbury. Birthplace of Charles Darwin, Shrewsbury is set amidst the glorious Shropshire countryside near to the Welsh Borders and is one of England's finest medieval market towns. The town is rich in history with over 600 listed buildings including the Castle and the Abbey (home of the fictional Brother Cadfael). The historic centre is a shopper's heaven packed with designer shops, smart new malls and an amazing range of independent retailers. And of course all the bars, cafes and restaurants you could ever wish for.
Day 4: Today is a day to relax and unwind and enjoy the activities and facilities of Alvaston Hall.
Day 5: Today we say goodbye and begin our journey home
