Battersea Power Station opened its doors to the public for the first time in history in October 2022. Almost 40 years after the Power Station’s lights were switched off, the icon is becoming one of London’s most exciting retail and leisure destinations.
The building’s retail offering is housed in the Power Station’s two newly restored, historic Turbine Halls, which although identical when viewed from the building’s exterior, are completely unique in their interior design. Turbine Hall A reflects the lavish Art Deco glamour of the 1930s when the Power Station was built, whereas Turbine Hall B which was completed in the 1950s, has more of a brutalist, industrial look and feel. Inside the Turbine Halls, shoppers will find an array of British and international brands, bars and restaurants.
With the Christmas Festivities at Battersea still in full swing until Sunday 5th January there’s still opportunity to enjoy London’s only riverside ice rink or discover the history of the Power Station at the Power of Place Exhibition. During your day you can opt to experience the Lift 109 journey where you will make a thrilling ascent 109 metres to the top of the north-west chimney and take in the stunning 360 degree views. Please note this at additional cost and can be booked via the following link www.lift109.co.uk
