Day 1: This morning we make our way to Cheshire. Arriving mid-afternoon, the celebrations begin and we will enjoy a warm welcome from the wonderful team at the Crewe Hall Hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is to enjoy at your leisure, perhaps switch off from it all and unwind in the impressively decorated Jacobean lounge or maybe visit the spa and take a dip in the revitalising pool. This evening enjoy a delicious three-course dinner.
Day 2 – Christmas Eve: After a leisurely morning, we travel to the beautiful city of Chester. A beguiling and elegant city full of delight and truly magical at Christmas. The city’s historic streets are beautifully adorned with sparkling lights and the Town Hall is transformed into a Winter Wonderland overflowing with festive ambience. One of the most iconic and fascinating landmarks in Chester are The Rows. Brimming with history these medieval two-tiered timber-framed galleries line the main streets of the city. Today The Rows are home to boutiques, independent shops, restaurants and bars. We return to our hotel this afternoon where you can rest and relax before enjoying a delicious three-course dinner. This evening’s entertainment will get you well and truly in the Christmas spirit.
Day 3 - Christmas Day: Merry Christmas! After a leisurely breakfast, you may wish to spend a relaxing morning opening presents or perhaps take a stroll through the hotel’s grounds and relish the peace and tranquillity of the Cheshire countryside. We enjoy a delicious traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to watch the King’s speech. Dinner this evening will be a relaxed and informal affair followed by entertainment and a Christmas quiz.
Day 4 – Boxing Day: Today we enjoy a scenic country drive through the Peak District National Park. Passing through the dramatic countryside with its quaint villages, vast open spaces and breath-taking terrain we travel to the charming town of Bakewell. Idyllically situated on the banks of the River Wye with mellow stone buildings, picturesque courtyards and a medieval five arch bridge, it’s not surprising Jane Austen based Pride and Prejudice’s fictional town of Lambton on this delightful town. This afternoon is free to enjoy the facilities and amenities at the hotel or alternatively why not switch off and unwind before our three-course dinner this evening.
Day 5: After breakfast, we say goodbye and begin our journey home.
